We’re looking for a full-time Salesperson to join our award-winning brewery in San Rafael, CA. We enjoy brewing a wide variety of beer styles and creative experiments while also producing high quality classics and we want someone who’s excited about our beer, brand, and community. We maintain over 125 accounts throughout the Bay Area and we’re continuing to grow so flexibility and hustle are required.

  • Represent Pond Farm Brewing Co.’s mission to brew high quality beer, and positively impact our community.

  • Maintain and expand our current distribution of kegged and canned beer.

  • Achieve sales goals by adding new accounts and increasing sales with current accounts.

  • Schedule tastings and appointments with existing and prospective accounts to educate them about our current and upcoming beers.

  • Communicate in a friendly, professional, and clear manner with all existing and prospective accounts. 

  • Maintain clear communication and expectations with brewery production personnel and delivery driver (as applicable) about projections, allocations, and sales performance of each beer being distributed.

  • Deliver kegged and canned beer to accounts in our self-distribution area in a safe and timely manner as needed

  • Keep company vehicles (as applicable) clean and tidy as necessary, and report any required maintenance immediately.

  • Assist draft accounts with line cleaning and draft troubleshooting as necessary

  • Documentation: manage orders and account contact list, create sales invoices or communicate necessary information to management, track keg shells.

  • Update sell sheet and send out weekly sales email.

  • If account is overdue, collect payment upon delivery 

  • Communicate with accounts to ensure beers are represented, stored and served to our standards.

  • Pursue, schedule, and participate in festivals, community events, tastings, and tap takeovers (minimum 1 event each month).

  • Communicate with management about sales strategies, target markets, and marketing/branding opportunities.

  • Maintain public facing list of accounts

  • Miscellaneous duties related to the off-site sale of Pond Farm Brewing Co. beer as needed.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Passion for craft beer and fundamental knowledge of beer styles

  • Able to work well with a team

  • Able to lift heavy objects safely and repeatedly, including 165 lb kegs

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application

  • Proficient in Google Sheets/Excel


Preferred qualifications:

  • Sales experience (especially beer or other food/beverage)

  • Knowledge of local geography and beer businesses

  • Cicerone certification of any level


  • $60-80k per year including commission (base pay depending on experience)

We’re looking for engaging and attentive bartenders who love people (and beer, of course) and who are excited to shape the customer experience in our taproom. Our beertenders are the face of Pond Farm Brewing, first to interact with customers, take orders at the bar, pour beers, and chat about our beers.

We’re looking for someone with the following traits:

  • Strong work ethic

  • Enthusiasm for craft beer

  • People-lover with excellent communication skills

  • Natural "jump-in-and-help"/ team player mentality



  • Serve beer properly from our 16-tap tower

  • Greet customers and answer their questions about our beers and our brewing process in a friendly and non-pretentious manner

  • Conduct bar operations while behind the bar - from cleaning to pouring beer to stocking glassware

  • Understand and follow bar operations, including keeping an impeccably clean bar service area

  • Change out kegs

  • Adhere to all alcohol service regulations and requirements

  • Share customer feedback with others during team meetings

  • Follow Opening and Closing bar protocols flawlessly

  • Bus tables, wash glasses, and generally maintain cleanliness of the taproom

  • Other duties as needed


Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application

  • Possess basic math skills and the ability to handle money

  • Take Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training within 30 days of beginning work

  • Ability to move 50 lbs or more (to move and replace kegs)

  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19


Preferred qualifications:

  • At least 1 year bartending experience

  • Experience working at a restaurant / bar

  • Any beer-related training (Cicerone, Beer Steward, etc.)

  • Beer knowledge of styles and appropriate glass types
